So we didn't leave for our honeymoon until Monday. We wanted Sunday to relax and have time to pack and get ready in general. I don't know how couples leave the day after the wedding! I could barely keep it together as it was! So, on Sunday morning, we went straight over to my parents' house, where most of the bridesmaids still were. We chatted and opened presents and loved on our puppies. We were going to miss the puppies :(
Then we went home and started doing laundry because pretty much everything Lee wanted to take was dirty! Of course! So really we didn't even start packing until like 6 or so that evening. Well, sometime later, Lee was getting ready to upload some movies to his iPhone to entertain him on the plane. iTunes said that he needed an update so he did. To make a really, really (seriously it was like a 5 hour debacle) long story short, the update would never finish and his computer stopped recognizing his phone. He stayed up until like 2am messing with it. He was freaking. To make matters worse, I had lost my phone charger the day of the wedding so we were going to be without a phone on vacation. Sometime during the night when Lee finally accepted defeat, he went to WalMart and got a new charger for my phone so we would at least have mine in case something happened. (um, don't tell but i was secretly happy his phone broke because he is obsessed with it and always looking up sports)(don't get me wrong, if i had an iphone i would be obsessed too)(but i dont) I went to sleep sometime around 11 I think, but before I did, I set the alarm for 4:45 and checked it like 5 times. We were supposed to leave for the airport between 6 and 6:15.
So, on Monday morning, the alarm goes off and I did not want to get up so I hit snooze and grumbled about it being early. Lee lifted his head and said "oh my god it's 5:45!!" I bolted out of bed and ran in circles because i didn't know what I should do! We were leaving in 20ish minutes!! Literally I ran in circles between the bathroom and bedroom shouting "should I take a shower?!" haha, this is funny to remember now! (in case you were wondering, my hair must be washed daily or it is gross and embarrassing) So I took a shower and somehow we were both ready when my dad got there. Amazingly we did not forget anything!
Here we are at the airport! My hair is wet btw.
So the we go to check our baggage and the bag (yes we only checked one bag!! we also had a carry on) weighed 59 lbs. Dammit! 9 lbs over and the lady wasn't having any of it so we paid her the $50 without protest. She proceeded to lecture us about the baggage rules and really we could have each brought 2 and blah blah. Lady we don't care, we woke up 30 minutes ago and already paid you the money!!!
Here we are on the way to Dallas:

Riding the Skylink at DFW (this guy did not want to take our pic but i forced him :) ):

Headed to Montego Bay!!

When we arrived in Montego Bay, there was a little lounge area for Sandals guests (maybe I should tell you the we went to the Sandals Whitehouse resort in Jamaica). They had food and BEER and comfy chairs. As soon as we stepped foot in it, a guy yelled "Whitehouse!" which mean that the bus was leaving for Whitehouse. Dammit again! I wanted a beer.

The transportation in Jamacia is another post all in itself. Let's just say that we were very happy to be alive when the ride was over. On the website, it said that the resort was a 45 minute drive from the airport. The man at the lounge said 1.5 hours, then we got in the "bus" and he said 2 hours. We were bummed and had been travelling for about 8.5 hours at this point. We left the airport with another couple also going to White house and saw these huge buses in the parking lot, all of us thinking that's where we were headed. Think again! We were led to a small Toyota van sort of like this, but smaller, it only had two rows of seats in the back and no extra room on the top. Oh and it was really older and dirty:
All 4 of us just looked at each other. Then we got on the road. The streets there are really narrow, barley fit 2 cars at the same time, and they are the bumpiest roads ever. And I should mention that most of the time you are driving right alongside the coast or a cliff so if it tipped you would pretty much just die. And they have no rules about driving there. It was the scariest ride I have ever taken:
Looking scared:

Lee kind of scared but laughing about it!

Really happy to be alive! (yes we look like crap, 15 minutes of getting ready does not include makeup!) don't judge.
Along the drive, we saw tons and tons of these little buildings. There was never more than one person in any of them! For the most part, they were all bars. I took this picture when our driver stopped for a minute. He asked if it was okay, and thinking he just needed to go to the bathroom or something, we said sure. He got out and bought a lottery ticket! LOL!!

Our first view of the ocean! The water was gorgeous! This was a little fishing village, hence the little boats.

Here we are!! After about 45 minutes of the driver telling us just 10 more minutes multiple times, we finally arrived!!
After checking in, we left to find our room and this is what you see when you exit the lobby, it's the first thing anyone sees when they arrive! From front to back, a fountain, the main pool with swim up bar (which is the large structure behind the fountain), and then the ocean behind it!
Lee hanging out already in his swimsuit waiting for me to finish unpacking so we could go explore!

Okay, let's go check this place out!! Notice the wine glass :) There was beer and champagne waiting for us!
We had a ground floor room, so we had a patio instead of a balcony. I was disappointed at first, but it proved to be way more convenient than a balcony room! Here is the view straight out from the patio! This is one of about 5 pools I think, different one than the one with the swim up bar.

And if you looked to the left from the patio you saw this! The ocean!
Then it was time for dinner:
Then we watched this crazy guy limbo down to 8 inches off the ground under poles light on fire!!
Then this crazy guy came out and rubbed this fire all over his arms and feet and in his mouth

We decided that we were exhausted and headed back to the room for some much needed rest. When we walked in, we were greeted by this little guy:

I will admit that I screamed and then talked about how cute he was. Lee caught him in a cup and threw him outside. About 2 minutes later we found another one in the bathroom! haha!
That's is for day one of our trip!
Oh, and I found out today that we have to wait 30 days to see our wedding pics. That's not until July 20!
