We're going to Dallas today! We're going to Dallas today!!
I stayed home from work yesterday. My throat was on fire. Nothing would soothe it. I couldn't talk. (Lee probably liked that part) I decided that I should sleep all day and not talk. About 3, I decided that it was getting worse, not better. And my temp shot up from 97 to 99.6. I went to the urgent care by my house.
I have decided that I like going to urgent care better than my own doctor. It's way closer and I usually get in and out pretty quickly.
Anywho, I get there and was seen fairly quickly. The dr who saw me was kinds weird. Slicked back greaser hair and eyes so wide (across way, like <---->) that his glasses didn't cover the whole eye. I would not mention any of this if he had not annoyed me by doing the following:
Dr: have you been running a fever?
Me: yes, it just started about an hour ago.
Dr: ok, what was the temp?
Me: 99.6
Dr: (pause) Ok, usually a fever is anything 100.5 or over
Jerk. Way to make me feel stupid. For your information, my normal body temp is in the 97's, not 98's so for me, that IS running about 100.5. Why didn't you just ask if I'd been running a temp 100.5 or over and we could have avoided all of this. He proceeded to tell me that is was just allergies and some technical Dr. talk about your noses job. Whatever, make me feel better!! I told him I had a big weekend trip and he said that they could knock out my symptoms quickly with a steroid shot. Yes please! He redeemed himself slightly. So I got a shot and feel much better today! Not 100%...maybe 87% :) But, I'll take it!
In 4.5 hours we're on our way to Dallas! Yay!! I can't wait! And, I'm already getting sad for it to be over! ha! I am not normal I know, but I hate the end of things.

woohooo. have a wonderful bachlorette weekend!!! It's all down hill from here. haha. Just kidding! Have a great time and take lots of pics...
YAY! Have so much fun!! Feel better.. or just numb the pain. ;) haha! Take lots and lots and lots of pics! :)
