Vacay Day 2

So on day 2 of our honeymoon, Tuesday, we didn't do much. They offered an orientation every morning, and we thought it would be a good idea to go so that we could get more familiar with the resort. So, we went to the lobby to meet the guide and saw this guy:

One of 3 peacocks that lived there. He is the only male, and there were 2 females that we didn't get to see as often. Funny sidenote: did you know that peacocks sound like cats when they make noises? Well they do and it took me a while to figure out where that weird noise was coming from!

Okay, so this was out orientation guide: the Playmaker!

Lol! I saw the back of her shirt before anything else and I giggled to myself and pinched Lee so that he would notice too. Well, it turns out that that really is their job title! Basically, they go around and play with the guests and have fun games at the main pool and all of that. Pretty awesome job if you ask me. They work a lot though, like 12-18 hours a day. Buuut, since they work so much, they live at the resort!

After the orientation, which was loooong and really not that helpful, we decided to park it at the main pool for the remainder of the day. We took full advantage of the swim up bar that opened at 10 am!

Twice a week, they have this thing called Aquacise at the main pool. It's basically water aerobics. We were fortunate enough to get to watch it this morning and it was HILARIOUS! The instructor was cracking me up! He's the little red dot not in the pool. Think Jamaican Richard Simmons, no joke. If people were not joining, he would call them out and tell them to get off of their lounger and get out there! And it worked! The pool was full of aquacisers! It was fun to watch. We didn't get called out because we were drinking at the bar :)

Later in the afternoon, we went to a wine tasting class. That was really fun! It was a small group of about 20 people and we all sat around a table and drank wine. They weren't your average wine-tasting size drinks, either, no sirree, they filled your glass up!

We were there for probably 2 hours. You also got a refill on each glass of wine! And we tasted 3, so that's 6 glasses in 2 hours. We were feeling pretty good by the time we finished. We also got certificates!

Please ignore the red lips and teeth :)

Lee made friends with pretty much everyone that worked there. Here is just one example of him chatting up our wine 'teacher'. That guy liked to drink! He said that he had 6 red stripes before the class to loosen up! Haha! Jamaicans like to drink.

After the wine class, it was time for dinner! We went to one of the "fancy" restaurants this night. We took about 238 pictures before we went out, but none of them were good. This is the best I've got:

We also learned that at the "fancy" restaurants, you are greeted with a Welcome Drink! I don't remember exactly, but I think it was vodka, peach schnapps, pineapple juice and one other juice. It was really good :)

Lee was really excited about his steak dinner! Don't be fooled, it was possibly the tiniest steak I've ever seen. Probably about 4 oz. I would guess. Even I can eat a 6 oz steak with no problem so poor Lee. This might have been the night we ordered room service when we got back to the room after dinner! :) Also, on the website, it tells you sample menus and they all say steak and lobster, every single one. But the resort did not serve any lobster. With our 4 oz. steak, we got one shrimp. One.

That's it for day 2!
