A Case of the Mondays

What did I do this weekend? Hmmm, nothing!!! I thought I was going to love having nothing to do but I was restless and bored. There were several things I could have done but the were all outdoors and apparently Tulsa is the new Seattle because I can't remember the last day it didn't rain.

On Saturday I made Mary come hang out with me and we went to the mall. I want this pair of shoes from Macy's for the wedding. I found them in OKC and stupidly didn't get them. They don't have them in the Tulsa store. I went to see if the had miraculously appeared since the last time I was there, but no, they haven't. Apparently OKC is way cooler than Tulsa. And, in case you were wondering, no I did not special order shoes for the wedding like one year ago and no they have not been sitting in my closet since then, so clearly I really need the pair from Macys :)

After our mall excursion, I went home and Lee and I decided we were going to go to Cold Stone Creamery. I have not been there in forever and I needed cake batter with tons of unhealthy mix ins. So, after we ate a quick dinner, we drove from our house in midtown to the Bass Pro area for Cold Stone. Well apparently it's Marble Slab. Whatever, same thing. After Lee ordered his, I told them what I want, and as they were ringing us up, I heard the girl whisper to someone asking if they were our of cake batter. I threw my hand out and said "WAIT! I have to go somewhere else if they are out of cake batter!" I was slightly rude but how can you run out of cake batter??!! So then I asked Lee to take me to the Cold Stone at 71st & Memorial, but then I remembered that it changed to a Maggie Moo's, which is fine but obviously I was set on Cold Stone. So then we decided to go to the one out at 101st & Memorial. When we go there, it was a Maggie Moo's!! I guess there are no Cold Stone's around. Oh well. I got my over-priced $6 Better Batter Cake Carnival and we were finally on our way home after driving 2000 miles just for cake batter. Once home, I promptly passed out from cake batter overload.

On Sunday we returned 1/3 of the vases I had purchased for our centerpieces. (Surprise surprise, I changed my mind about them!) Not only did they take 20% off since I didn't have the receipt (actually it would have been 20 receipts because I literally bought every single vase one by one with a 40% off coupon), they also made me put it on a gift card!! What am I going to do with a $250 gift card to Michaels?! AND I still have to return the other 2/3. Yes, I made money off of that transaction because I purchased then with the 40% off and they only took 20% off for the no receipt deal. HA! The girl at the register didn't think it was funny :)

Happy Monday. I hope this week goes by fast!
