Rabbit Rabbit
When I was younger, I loved the Babysitter's Club books. Stacy was always my favorite. She was the trendy one from New York. And Mary Anne always annoyed me because she was such a goody-two-shoes. Anywho, I randomly remember that in one of them, someone said that if you say "Rabbit Rabbit" when you first wake up on the first day of the month, you're supposed to have good luck all month long. I still say it to this day, isn't that funny that I remember. Clearly it has not worked the past few months :)
Happy hour last night turned into happy 5 hours and dinner. I was very pleased to wake up feeling just fine! However, this day could not drag on any slower! Seriously. I thought it seemed like it was around 3 and I looked at my clock and it was 12:45! What a downer.
We're going to visit my parent's tonight and go to dinner. They have been building this massive roof over their back patio and Lee hasn't seen it yet. My dad has been really funny about it. He's like a little boy on Christmas, I don't know why he's so excited about it. "Party Central" he calls it! LOL!! It's a covered patio!!! He's so funny.
I bought tickets to see Wicked in August!!! Yay!!! I am so so so excited to go see it. I have been stalking Celebrity Attractions so that I could get tickets as soon as they came out. Lucky me, since I signed up for email alerts, they sent me a code to buy tickets early so I did! In case you are not familiar with the play, it's like a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. It tells the story of Glenda the Good Witch and her sister, the Wicked Witch, when they were children. It's supposed to be amazing and I can't wait!!! Woohoo!!!
Next weekend we are going to our cake tasting and we selected our 3 flavors to sample today:
- Italian Cream
- Buttery Yellow with Chocolate Mousse filling
- Buttermilk Devil's Food with Whipped White Chocolate filling
I'm pretty sure that the "bride's cake" is going to be Italian Cream, but I think that we can have each tier of the cake be a different flavor so if we really like the yellow cake (which is Lee's favorite btw), then we might have one tier be that. I'm pretty sure the "groom's cake" will be the Devils Food. I'd better get to eat some of both on the actual day! I think that she makes us our own little cake to eat after the reception is over, and another little one to freeze for the 1st anniversary tradition. I'm not sure though. I bet you really care. :)

Yay cake tasting! Traditionally, you cut into the top tier to eat from at the wedding, and then that same top tier is what gets pulled off and frozen for the 1st anniversary... the lower tiers are what are eaten by the guests at the wedding. So our top tier got to move cross country with us and when we thawed it out on our 1st anniversary it was so freezer-burnt and gross that we each took one nibble and then laughed as we threw the whole thing out. So much for that tradition! ;)
Oh, and you'll Looooovvveee Wicked. I saw it at The Pantages here in LA last year and it was phenomenal!
You will LOVE Wicked. I got home and immediately downloaded half the music off itunes... haha! :) Cake tasting...ahhh.. When we walked into the reception this weekend, Eric was like "lets sit as close as possible to the cake table." Awesome. I like your rabbit rabbit.. that's super cute. :) I love little things like that!
