How is it already Monday?
Boo it's Monday. I'm not interested in working so here we are. This weekend was Mother's Day. We got my mom lots of stuff from Godiva and she was really excited. I secretly hoped that she wouldn't like it so that I could eat it :) Isabelle and Zoe must have forgotten about their mama.
Also this weekend Mary graduated and moved away. :( Now there's really no one left in Tulsa. Why does everyone move away?!
So on Saturday, I caught up on lost of shows I missed last week. And it was a cry-fest. Why does everything have to be so sad?! Maybe it was just me. Okay, Grey's was really sad. Tears were merited. But 90210? Survivor? Yes I bawled like a baby at those, especially Survivor! I also sort of cried at The Duel. Yes the MTV one. Whatever. I also cried at the Amazing Race last night. I was really sad that Margie and Luke didn't win. That's not why I cried, I just love them. Mother-Son team, he's deaf, she can do pretty much anything. Who doesn't love them. Stupid bratty rich lawyer siblings won. They didn't deserve it.
Oh, Oh! We picked out our cake flavors!! And let me say that they are delicious. I was kind of nervous about how they would taste. Basically, the place we're getting married is all-inclusive. Like they do the catering, help you plan, get the DJ, have the limo, and they also do the cake. Now, when I say they "do" all of that, I really mean that they contract with several vendors, so the chapel isn't actually making my cake or food, but they use one specific place for it. Our cake is going to be done by McNeil Manor cakes. I was nervous because I have never ever heard of it. But let me tell you, she is good! The big cake (I guess it's the bride's?) is going to be Italian cream and the groom's cake is buttermilk devil's food with white chocolate mousse. They were delicious. I want to have another tasting! We also settled on a design for the cake. I hope it turns out well. I have this picture in my head of exactly what I want, but it was difficult to describe. I also wondered, as I described what I wanted, if she was judging me. Did she think what I wanted it stupid or ugly or who would ever want that? If she did, she didn't say anything, but she had a look on her face that made me wonder. Oh well. She is painting the big cake with luster dust :) It will be shimmery :)
Only 40 more days!
