Um, the dentist is expensive

I got my filling fixed today. They replaced it completely with a new white one. It looks tons better. But, my face is numb up to my temple, including my ear. And, I paid an arm and a leg. My parents must have hated me when I was little because I used to get cavities all the time and if they had to pay that much every time, well, I would have to have a stern talk with my child.

So yesterday when I was leaving work, I heard a funny conversation. In the accounting world, we make some pretty lame jokes pertaining to well, accounting. When I worked at Deloitte, my co-workers and I would absolutely crack up at some things that would not be funny to ANYONE who did not also do taxes. It's kind of embarrassing but I've learned to embrace the dorkiness of it. Okay, so a woman (mid-40's) came up to the guy behind me (mid-40's) and said that she heard a song on the radio that she wants for her iPod. He asked the song and she didn't know, but said she found out the singer was about to go to jail. Then she told him his name is TI. His response: "You think that stands for Taxable Income?!" Haha, oh man, there are so many thing to laugh about here. First, the fact that she likes the song in the first place. She doesn't seem the type to like TI. And the fact that she came over to him just to tell him the story. I wanted to tell her that he has a tv show too, but I didn't want to get caught in the conversation. But the Taxable Income thing takes the cake. It wasn't funny like, oh my gosh, he made a hilarious joke. It was more like, did he really just say that? Yeah....this is my work life....

This morning when I woke up I thought it was Sunday :( I hope Friday hurries up!
