Did you know

that there's only 23 days left until my wedding?! People at work make fun of me because on any given day, they can ask "how many?" and I will promptly answer with the number of days left until the wedding. They do it all the time. In meeting is their favorite so they can all laugh at me together :) In a nice way. They are excited for me and I appreciate it.

Speaking of appreciation, they threw a shower for Lee and me yesterday. Wow. We got a TON of stuff. Seriously, Lee's work is having a shower for us next week and they asked what we wanted. I had to look at our registries to see and I was like, where is all the stuff we wanted?! Oh, right, my co-workers bought it all! haha. It was super super thoughtful of everyone and I truly appreciated the entire day :) It's amazing how much it means to me to hear that other people are so excited about it! My favorite thing that we got? A Keurig personal brewer! It takes those little pods and makes one cup at a time! I have been wanting one forever!! I have already used it twice!

I kind of want to be a bridezilla right now and bitch about how rude and selfish and un-thoughtful some wedding-related people are being. I'm not going to because I need to not dwell on it and move on because the last few days have been pretty rough for me. I have to realize that this day is for me and Lee and I cannot make everyone else happy and no matter what I do, I cannot make everyone have a great time that day. My only hope is that Lee and I both have a great time. I'm sure that we will :)

So I have finally given into being completely consumed with planning for the wedding. I can no longer focus on ANYTHING other than wedding plans! I promise that I'm trying to concentrate on work, but then I think "Oh! I need to make a list of things I need to bring with me on the wedding day, I need to order those flowers and that candy or I need to call and check on the flower girls dress (absolutely adorable btw) and I need to make a to do list for this weekend and one for next weekend, now how many weekends are left, and I need to email the wedding party so that I know when everyone gets here or I need to make a detailed schedule of the wedding day and i can't forget to pick up my dress next week and is there anything else i'm forgetting?" Seriously. That is what is going on in my head at every moment of the day. It's exhausting! Yet I can't sleep because all I can do is think those thoughts!! Haha! I kind of like it though :)

I lied in my last post, I have 2 full weeks in June then only half of a week. How am I going to make it?! Hopefully I will calm down after I can check a couple of things off of my list. I plan on accomplishing some of that this weekend. Also this weekend, we are going to see Aubree, our flower girl's, first dance recital :) She's 3 and I think it's going to be adorable and hilarious! She requested that we all go to get snow cones afterward! How cute is she?! I love it! I plan on taking pictures to post later.

Whew!

What a weekend!! Our long weekend with no plans turned into a wedding extravaganza! I (with Lee's help for some of it) worked on getting stuff together from sun up to sun down all Saturday and Sunday and for a little while on Monday! I was exhausted, but got a lot accomplished, so that's good :)

On Saturday, I got to go up and see little Maddox and he is even cuter in person than he is in his pictures, which is pretty hard to imagine! I was so excited to get to hold him :) It made my day for sure!

Then I ran a few errands and met up with Lee to go and get our wedding bands (!) and go to the liquor store to set everything up for the reception. I was really happy with the liquor store that the chapel recommended. They were very helpful and they even deliver everything for us and they will buy back anything not used! Awesome. We ran around for a while longer, got home, ate dinner, and I worked on more wedding stuff until way past my usual bedtime. Which isn't saying much because I like to go to bed early!

Sunday was more of the same. I finally finished the programs and wrapped the wedding party gifts and finished a couple of other projects.

Monday we mostly relaxed. We had lunch with my parent's on their new covered patio and just spent the rest of the day hanging out.

All in all, a very productive weekend! Isn't is sad that I'm already ready for it to be Friday again?! Haha. At least this week is a short one! And then next week is my last full week of work until after the wedding!! Woohoo!! I can't believe how close it's getting! We have our final meeting at the chapel on Saturday. We are supposed to have a final guest count, or pretty close. I don't know if that's going to happen. I can't say that I'm surprised really, but lots of people haven't sent in their rsvp's yet. And some of them are people that have told me or Lee or my parents that they are coming. Send in the rsvp!!! It's a postcard so there's not even an envelope! I'm actually not really that mad about it. I still feel like it's kinda early to ask people to commit, but still.

Okay, I'm really just procrastinating so that I don't have to do any work. Happy Tuesday!

Hellooooo....

3 day weekend!!!! I am so ready for you!! I have nothing planned to do this weekend and I love it! The day before any holiday or holiday weekend, they always let us leave work at 3 and today is no exception! I love that, only 1.5 hours left!

SYTYCD started last night and i looooooove that show!! Cat Deeley just makes my life better :) I was really happy that Katie's roommate made it through again this time, I'll bet that she makes it on the show. However, last night I realized that I have no idea about dancing and what's goo and bad. When Sonja or whatever her name is was freaking out so much, I was like, huh? what did they do?! Haha. And then when Mary started crying, I was like, what did I miss?! Aww Mary, I just love her so much! Nigel too. Hell, who am I kidding, I love them all! haha. I can't wait until the auditions are over and they get down to the good stuff! I love it love it love it!

Did you know that I sorta like SYTYCD? :)

So Jenny had her baby yesterday! And oh my lord he is adorable! You know that you say that about all babies, but let's face it, when they are brand new, they usually aren't really all that cute. Not little mister Maddox! I can't get over it! That hair! His little button nose! It's just too much. I've probably told everyone that I've seen the past 2 days about him! I am just so so so happy for Jenny and Jeff!

Speaking of babies, there must be something in the water because I have heard of 2 MORE people I know being pregnant, in addition to the probably 5 people that already were pregnant! Not including Jenny and my sister in law who just had their babies! It's crazy!

I have pics of my niece Cailee that I will try and post this weekend!!

Happy Memorial Day!

One month

I haven't been feeling very bloggy lately. I have decided that I need more pictures when I blog. I love it when others have pictures, so I should give you people something to look at.

Let's see, what have I been up to lately?

Well, Friday, Mary and I went to Mayfest. I got a terrible sunburn on my left shoulder! I had forgotten about that sun thing, since I hadn't seen her in like one month! I also bought a super fun cutting board, which might seem weird to you, but just ask Lee, I have been on the hunt for the world's best cutting board for over one year now. Not anymore!! Isn't it lovely? I'm afraid to use it!

On Saturday I got my dress bustled!!!! Yay!! I had forgotten what my dress looked like! I am happy to report that I still love it :)

Then I went for my makeup trial. I was nervous at first because she was the only one working her counter and customers kept coming up and interrupting and then she had to redo my concealer or something and I was like, great, this is going to be crap! But it wasn't!! She did an excellent job and I was so happy!! I will be seeing her in ONE MONTH!

While I was getting my makeup done, I told someone that I am getting married next month. NEXT MONTH?! That is so weird to say! I remember when I was telling people that it was June of next year lol, it was that far away that I had to specify the year! Lee emailed me and said that in exactly one month from today we will be getting married :) Cute huh? :)

In other exciting wedding news, my mom finally found her dress! I don't know if I've talked about this before, but she waited way too long to pick one out, so we have been looking really hard the past couple of weeks. She actually found a couple that she liked, but it was either too late to order it or they didn't come in the right size or some other frustrating excuse. She and my dad actually ended up going to OKC yesterday to look for one and she got one!! Here it is:

Yes, she got it in that color. No, it's not my favorite, but I won't say anything because at least she finally found one!

OH! I finally watched Grey's on Monday night. I was all prepared on the couch with my blanket and box of tissues. Turns out I didn't really need the tissues. Weird. I actually hope that Izzy dies. I don't like her, well, I don't like Katherine Heigl much ever since she started always talking crap about the show. And about how all she REALLY wants to do are movies. HELLO, the show is the only way anyone even knows your name. I mean, let's face it, only me and perhaps 3 other people on the face of the planet saw My Father, the Hero. And after that you went MIA for oh, 10 years!!! Sorry, I got off track. Anywho, I want Izzy to die. The only bad thing about that is how Alex will react. Remember how weird he got after that girl from earlier in the season left him? But George!! OH GEORGE!!! NO!!! I had a feeling that was him when he tried to write on Meredith's hand the first time, but I didn't say anything because I hate being wrong. Also, I was watching alone, so no one was there for me to exclaim "I think that's George!!!!" to. I didn't like the cliffhanger ending. Not. at. all.

Today I got a new computer at work!!! This is a huge deal, as no one around here ever gets a new one. My old one was SO. SLOW. The last straw was when it took me over 20 minutes to shut down 5 excel windows. I was annoying to our IT guy and told him that something had to be done. My annoying-ness worked like a charm! My new one is super fast! The IT guy wouldn't even leave my desk for like 45 minutes because he was in awe :)

Now THAT is weird

Yay it's Friday!! I love Fridays more than any day of the week, even Saturdays! They just hold so much possibilities for a great weekend!

Okay, so a couple of strange things have already happened today. This morning I went to QT, which I do lot. Last Friday when I went, I was getting gas and a guy pulled up to the stall next to me, got out of his car, and walked straight over to me, calling out some girls name I can't think of. I informed him that I was not the person he thought I was and went on about my business. Then, this morning, I was getting coffee and this man next to me asked "aren't' you usually in scrubs when you come in here?" I said that no, I wasn't, but I wished that I could wear scrubs to work. He went on about how he thought I was whomever it was that wore pink and blue scrubs. Way to remember details sir. I went over to get a muffin out of the pastry case and he walked by me towards the counter and said something to the effect of "you may not be her but you are still sexy". Huh? I was stunned. Who on earth does that?! And, maybe it's just me, but "sexy" is a nighttime only word. You don't just throw that word around at 7am near the QT pastry case! It was awkward for me.

AND, a couple of minutes ago, the mail person came around and put an interoffice envelope on my desk. I though, hmm, I don't think I've ever gotten a piece of mail here. And I wasn't expecting anything. Inside was an article out of Shape magazine. It was about a woman who was getting married, and at first wanted to lose weight, but then decided that her size 8 figure was just fine with her. What? It is so bizarre. I have no idea who sent it to me! I don't know anyone who works at Williams except for the people on my floor. I showed it to my friend here and we were both just confused and want to know who sent it! They clearly meant to do it anonymously. After thinking really hard about it, I think that it could be someone from my spin class. It's here in the building and they are really the only people who know that I was, at one point, trying to lose weight for the wedding. They also know that I lost some weight and then gained it all back even though I was working out 2 or 3 times a day, so maybe they saw the article and thought about me? But I don't know that any of them know my full name and the floor I'm on, so maybe it's not them. I don't know. it's just weird and I don't like not knowing things.

Oh all that and it's only 10:45am!! I am leaving work at 11:30 today and I think that Mary and I are going to enjoy the sunshine (while it lasts) by going to Mayfest!

I'm sorry, but I just had to

While surfing People.com today, I ran across this article:

Did she really say these things?

LOL! Hahahahaha!! ROFL!!!! There are not enough expressions to fully explain my reaction to reading this. Please tell me that others feel the same way.

I will admit that I love The Hills. I DVR it. Well, I guess that I used to love it. It's been going down hill this year, and now I'm definitely not going to watch it with Speidi and Kristin and Audrina! Lauren was the only reason I watched it, and I like Lo too, but now that she's going to be gone, so will my wiewer-ship. I'm sure that MTV will be very sad to hear this :)

Apparently "strappy" in not a real word

In 24 hours, I officially start my weekend! I have many fun activities planned so I'm extra excited for it to arrive. Is there such a thing as being extra excited for the weekend. I'm thinking no, but whatever.

Oh! My niece's name is Kayleigh Madison! Cute, huh? I really have no idea of the spelling but that's how I would spell it if it were my kid! Haha. I wish that I had a picture to show off but none have been sent out. I can tell you that she has dark hair and blue eyes! Cute! I think I'm going to try and say "cute" as much as possible in this paragraph! Cute Cute Cute!!! When Lee told me last night, I thought of something I had never thought of before. I was so glad that I wouldn't name my kid that. Don't get me wrong, I like it (it's cute :) ), but it's just not in my top 5 (and yes, there is a top 5). I mean, what if she had taken one of my top 5?! I would have been so devastated!! Now I feel even more pressure to have a kid so I can get a name in there before she has any more!! LOL. I really don't feel pressure I'm just kidding. But still, you never know!

And now, what you've all been waiting for.....a picture of my wedding shoes!!

Yay! There they are!! I wore them around the house last night in my t-shirt and Lee's athletic shorts! I know, hot! They are actually super comfy (for strappy heels) so I really don't even need to walk around and break them in! Lee has really come a long way with my blogging about my life. Last night, he asked why I was taking a picture of my shoes and I said "For my blog of course!" and he just nodded in agreement, like "oh, of course" :)

And, since I had the camera out, this is how we spend our evenings:

Lee is usually on his computer (reading about sports, ugh) and Zoe really loves to lay on his chest like this whenever he's on that thing! Isn't she funny? She'll go to sleep like that too!

And this is where Isabelle loves to lay, it's really her favorite spot in the house. She loves to be up high. The higher the better! p.s. Doesn't Lee have nice feet :)

Okay, that's all I've got for now!

Yippee!!!!

I just finished this ginormous return that I have been working on for literally one month!! Woohoo!!! I am so relieved to have that off of my desk!

I really have nothing else exciting :)

Happy Tuesday!

I'm an aunt! Lee's sister had her baby girl yesterday. They haven't named her yet. Personally I find that odd. I mean, I've heard of people not telling others the name, but not even having one? They also didn't even have a crib a couple of weeks ago (I don't know if they have gotten one since then). I'm sad because I LOVE babies and I wish I was excited but they live in Alaska, so I will never see the baby. I've never even met Lee's sister actually. And she's not coming to the wedding. She doesn't want to fly with the baby. I don't have a baby so I'm not going to say anything (except that I would probably fly with my 6 week old to see my little brother get married and to actually meet his wife, but that's me) Anyways, technically I am an aunt :)

Boo, I hear thundering outside! When is the rain going to stop already?

My new wedding shoes came in yesterday!!! I was very excited to find the box on the doorstep when I got home. I tried to find them online to post a picture of them, but they aren't online for some strange reason. I know they used to be......

I have been thinking about getting P90X You're supposed to "get ripped in 90 days". I think it's been around for a little while, there's always stuff on tv about it. I have seen that a couple of my friends on FB are using it. They will have statuses saying stuff about it. I wonder if it really works. I need to try something other than what I've been doing, because that is obviously not working. It's pretty expensive ($120), but I have found a couple of other websites you can buy it from for less than half of that price. I'm going to talk to Lee about it. He might want to try it out too.

Lee's going on his bachelor's party this weekend :) They're going to Vegas. They went a couple of years ago for his friend's bachelor party and they had a great time, so I hope he has as much fun this time. I'm excited because Mary's going to come up and stay with me and we are going to to girl/wedding things. Sometimes I feel bad because when I go away, Lee's like "what am i going to do while you're gone?", but when he goes away, I get all excited for alone time or time to do whatever I want, or time to hang out with friends and watch girlie movies and eat junk food like I am doing this weekend! haha.

Yay, it's lunch time! Hope you all have a great day!

I'm baaaack!

I know, I know, third post of the day! It's Monday people. I have successfully wasted an undisclosed number of minutes on the computer today. I never post pictures on here because I never have my camera at work with me, BUT this weekend I took all of the pics off of my camera and I now have them on my flash drive! So, please enjoy the randomness of my life since January :)

OMG!! OMG!!

My Sister's Keeper is coming out June 26th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for this movie to come out for SO LONG!!!!! It's a movie based on a book by Jodi Picoult (my fave author EVER). It's about a little girl who was conceived because her older sister has cancer. She was conceived to be a perfect genetic match so that whatever her sister needed, she could donate. Basically she gets fed up and takes her family to court (she's like 8) because she feels like she is never asked if she WANTS to donate whatever to her sister. OMG. I'm going and taking 2 boxes of kleenex. I need a crier to go with me.

ANNNND, Harry Potter is coming out July 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I effing love Harry Potter!!! This one is where it starts to get all dark and twisty AND Harry and Ginny KISS!!!!!

Haha. I'm excited :)

How is it already Monday?

Boo it's Monday. I'm not interested in working so here we are. This weekend was Mother's Day. We got my mom lots of stuff from Godiva and she was really excited. I secretly hoped that she wouldn't like it so that I could eat it :) Isabelle and Zoe must have forgotten about their mama.

Also this weekend Mary graduated and moved away. :( Now there's really no one left in Tulsa. Why does everyone move away?!

So on Saturday, I caught up on lost of shows I missed last week. And it was a cry-fest. Why does everything have to be so sad?! Maybe it was just me. Okay, Grey's was really sad. Tears were merited. But 90210? Survivor? Yes I bawled like a baby at those, especially Survivor! I also sort of cried at The Duel. Yes the MTV one. Whatever. I also cried at the Amazing Race last night. I was really sad that Margie and Luke didn't win. That's not why I cried, I just love them. Mother-Son team, he's deaf, she can do pretty much anything. Who doesn't love them. Stupid bratty rich lawyer siblings won. They didn't deserve it.

Oh, Oh! We picked out our cake flavors!! And let me say that they are delicious. I was kind of nervous about how they would taste. Basically, the place we're getting married is all-inclusive. Like they do the catering, help you plan, get the DJ, have the limo, and they also do the cake. Now, when I say they "do" all of that, I really mean that they contract with several vendors, so the chapel isn't actually making my cake or food, but they use one specific place for it. Our cake is going to be done by McNeil Manor cakes. I was nervous because I have never ever heard of it. But let me tell you, she is good! The big cake (I guess it's the bride's?) is going to be Italian cream and the groom's cake is buttermilk devil's food with white chocolate mousse. They were delicious. I want to have another tasting! We also settled on a design for the cake. I hope it turns out well. I have this picture in my head of exactly what I want, but it was difficult to describe. I also wondered, as I described what I wanted, if she was judging me. Did she think what I wanted it stupid or ugly or who would ever want that? If she did, she didn't say anything, but she had a look on her face that made me wonder. Oh well. She is painting the big cake with luster dust :) It will be shimmery :)

Only 40 more days!

Chocolate Mousse Filling and Buttercream Icing!!!

I didn't watch Gray's last night. I was home. I prefer to let it record and watch it later when I can fast forward through the commercials. Instead I watched CSI, fell asleep on the couch about 15 minutes in, and was completely startled about 15 minutes later when a car blew up on tv. Seriously, I caught myself from falling off of the couch, but I though that something happened in our bedroom! I almost had a heart attack. Anyway, I'm apparently the only one who didn't watch because it's all Ive heard about all day! I have to keep covering my ears or my eyes to avoid a spoiler! So far so good.

I want to gripe about things. But I feel like that's all I do on here. But then I feel like what good is a blog if you can't gripe. Right? or wrong? I am a complainer. It's what I do. I have to complain or else it would just fester. I need to let it out. Then, as soon as I do, I'm over it. Some people don't need to complain (ahem, Lee) but I do. Is it annoying? Is it a downer? Do people see me from afar and think "oh great, there she is, she's going to bitch about something" and turn and go the other way? I would be really sad if I was that girl.

OH! So, awhile ago, I said that I was really excited about something, but didn't say what. Okay, this might be long because I tell long stories. Soooo I was whining about work and how I don't know what I want to do but I know that I want to do something else and yada yada. Jackie told me her story of how she went through the same thing. Somewhere in there she mentioned going to career services at TU and they helped her with her resume. So, after reading, I went to the alumni section of the TU website. I followed lots of links and randomly ended up on the job postings site. Like, for jobs at the school. There was on one there. And it might as well have had gold beams shooting out from it and angels singing because it was perfect. The position was in the office of admissions and was basically recruiting students and stuff like that. Um, people, this is exactly what I did when I was a GA, except it was for the Graduate students, and this was for undergraduate. I wanted it!! So I got all excited and the more I looked at the requirements, the more I realized how perfect I was! I mean, I fit every single qualification, right down to the "preferred" items. I went to submit my resume the next day, and...the posting was gone! What? It was a Thursday! Who takes down a job posting on a Thursday?! Anyway, I called HR, asked why it was gone, she said they were no longer taking applications. I told her why I was perfect for it, I mean, I sold myself, and she told me that I should go ahead and send her my resume and she would see what she could do. Sometime last week (maybe early this week? I don't know, it runs together), I found out that they accepted my late resume!! They were supposed to start calling for interviews soon she said. So then, today I got an email about the job. They weren't even calling me for an interview! I was flat out rejected! WHAT?! WTF?! Who in the HELL applied for this position?? I actually am not that sad about not getting an interview, because, let's face it, it probably doesn't pay well (one of my professors who I talked to about it even told me that I should check on the salary range!). And not that I'm all about money, because I'm really not, but some people in my life make me feel terrible about even considering taking a lower paying job. I didn't even tell anyone about it except Mary. I eventually told Lee (who was less than enthusiastic about it, but we won't go there). Anyway, that's not the point. The point is I DIDN'T GET AN INTERVIEW!!! It's really the principle here. Seriously, I wish that I could show you the posting and then show you how I have done EVERY SINGLE THING on there!! If I was not really qualified or had really never had any experience with what they were wanting, I wouldn't be surprised, but that's not the case! Anyway, sorry for my ranting. And I'm really not trying to sound like I'm so great or perfect, so if I sound conceited, that is not my intention at all. I'm just really surprised that I didn't even get an interview. It was obviously not meant to be, and probably a blessing in disguise, so I will go on with my life.

I have been on here for way longer than expected. I'm leaving work early. Tonight we are celebrating Mary's graduation! Yay! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully I can tell you our cake flavors on Monday!! I know you're on the edge of your seat! :)

Shoes, Food, and Snot

I'm going to Charleston's for lunch today!!!! I freaking love Charleston's. Is it strange that this one small thing makes me so happy? And I get to catch up with friends from the old job. I miss those people! No one here is fun. Except me. Obviously.

So, Mary was in OKC and tried to get those shoes I need for the wedding and they didn't have my size!!! They never have my size! So they gave her this list of stores in other states to call and possibly have them ship the shoes to me. So she called and I will have them in 6 days! She's the best. I mean seriously, how many people will call around different states to find you a pair of shoes?! Haha. I don't even remember what they look like. They better be as fabulous as I'm making them out to be!

Everyone at work is sick. Usually I don't care. Today someone came over to talk to me about something and he was all snotty and gross. I mean, no actual appearance made by said snot, but I definitely heard it and I wanted to vomit. Take your snotfest somewhere else, no one wants to hear you sucking it up your nose all day. Take a day off if you're going to do that. Sick. Sick. I can't think about it anymore.

Sorry to gross you out with that. I'm trying to think of something else exciting to move along but I have nothing. The wedding is in 45 days. I feel that I should be doing things, but I'm not. I need to get my dress fitted and/or bustled. But I need my shoes for that. Perhaps I will do it next weekend. This weekend is all about cake!!!!

Rain Rain Go Away

I heard yesterday that it has rained every day since April 23. Tomorrow that will be 2 weeks. Is this some sort of joke? I think I'm suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder :( I want to plant my freaking flowers!!!

A Case of the Mondays

What did I do this weekend? Hmmm, nothing!!! I thought I was going to love having nothing to do but I was restless and bored. There were several things I could have done but the were all outdoors and apparently Tulsa is the new Seattle because I can't remember the last day it didn't rain.

On Saturday I made Mary come hang out with me and we went to the mall. I want this pair of shoes from Macy's for the wedding. I found them in OKC and stupidly didn't get them. They don't have them in the Tulsa store. I went to see if the had miraculously appeared since the last time I was there, but no, they haven't. Apparently OKC is way cooler than Tulsa. And, in case you were wondering, no I did not special order shoes for the wedding like one year ago and no they have not been sitting in my closet since then, so clearly I really need the pair from Macys :)

After our mall excursion, I went home and Lee and I decided we were going to go to Cold Stone Creamery. I have not been there in forever and I needed cake batter with tons of unhealthy mix ins. So, after we ate a quick dinner, we drove from our house in midtown to the Bass Pro area for Cold Stone. Well apparently it's Marble Slab. Whatever, same thing. After Lee ordered his, I told them what I want, and as they were ringing us up, I heard the girl whisper to someone asking if they were our of cake batter. I threw my hand out and said "WAIT! I have to go somewhere else if they are out of cake batter!" I was slightly rude but how can you run out of cake batter??!! So then I asked Lee to take me to the Cold Stone at 71st & Memorial, but then I remembered that it changed to a Maggie Moo's, which is fine but obviously I was set on Cold Stone. So then we decided to go to the one out at 101st & Memorial. When we go there, it was a Maggie Moo's!! I guess there are no Cold Stone's around. Oh well. I got my over-priced $6 Better Batter Cake Carnival and we were finally on our way home after driving 2000 miles just for cake batter. Once home, I promptly passed out from cake batter overload.

On Sunday we returned 1/3 of the vases I had purchased for our centerpieces. (Surprise surprise, I changed my mind about them!) Not only did they take 20% off since I didn't have the receipt (actually it would have been 20 receipts because I literally bought every single vase one by one with a 40% off coupon), they also made me put it on a gift card!! What am I going to do with a $250 gift card to Michaels?! AND I still have to return the other 2/3. Yes, I made money off of that transaction because I purchased then with the 40% off and they only took 20% off for the no receipt deal. HA! The girl at the register didn't think it was funny :)

Happy Monday. I hope this week goes by fast!

Rabbit Rabbit

When I was younger, I loved the Babysitter's Club books. Stacy was always my favorite. She was the trendy one from New York. And Mary Anne always annoyed me because she was such a goody-two-shoes. Anywho, I randomly remember that in one of them, someone said that if you say "Rabbit Rabbit" when you first wake up on the first day of the month, you're supposed to have good luck all month long. I still say it to this day, isn't that funny that I remember. Clearly it has not worked the past few months :)

Happy hour last night turned into happy 5 hours and dinner. I was very pleased to wake up feeling just fine! However, this day could not drag on any slower! Seriously. I thought it seemed like it was around 3 and I looked at my clock and it was 12:45! What a downer.

We're going to visit my parent's tonight and go to dinner. They have been building this massive roof over their back patio and Lee hasn't seen it yet. My dad has been really funny about it. He's like a little boy on Christmas, I don't know why he's so excited about it. "Party Central" he calls it! LOL!! It's a covered patio!!! He's so funny.

I bought tickets to see Wicked in August!!! Yay!!! I am so so so excited to go see it. I have been stalking Celebrity Attractions so that I could get tickets as soon as they came out. Lucky me, since I signed up for email alerts, they sent me a code to buy tickets early so I did! In case you are not familiar with the play, it's like a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. It tells the story of Glenda the Good Witch and her sister, the Wicked Witch, when they were children. It's supposed to be amazing and I can't wait!!! Woohoo!!!

Next weekend we are going to our cake tasting and we selected our 3 flavors to sample today:
- Italian Cream
- Buttery Yellow with Chocolate Mousse filling
- Buttermilk Devil's Food with Whipped White Chocolate filling
I'm pretty sure that the "bride's cake" is going to be Italian Cream, but I think that we can have each tier of the cake be a different flavor so if we really like the yellow cake (which is Lee's favorite btw), then we might have one tier be that. I'm pretty sure the "groom's cake" will be the Devils Food. I'd better get to eat some of both on the actual day! I think that she makes us our own little cake to eat after the reception is over, and another little one to freeze for the 1st anniversary tradition. I'm not sure though. I bet you really care. :)
